Fun Club (breakfast and after-school)

If you have chosen to click on the Fun Club link then our guess is that you are exploring the possibility of childcare for your son or daughter while at Uley Primary School.

The Fun Club has been providing 'wrap-round care' since 2006 and prides itself on professional, high quality childcare for 4-11 year olds.

We appreciate that starting school is a big step for small children and that there may be times that work or other commitments mean your child needs to be cared for before 9.00am or after 3.15pm. This is when we can help.

The Fun Club is available to all pupils from 7.45am to 9.00am and after school from 3.15pm to 6.00pm during each school day. These inclusive hours are flexible to meet your individual needs.

The Benefits of Joining the Fun Club

We believe that play is a freely chosen creative child-centred activity which all children benefit from. It is something which children do naturally and therefore our aim is to facilitate this by providing an environment which provides a variety of play opportunities to allow children to do what they do best - play.

Our aim is to provide a rich and varied play environment for all our children. To this end, at various times of the year we seek to raise funds to enable this to happen. This is something the children are actively involved with. Find out more about our Fundraising activities.

Policies and procedures

We aim to build on good practice and constantly look at ways of improving provision. Therefore staff regularly evaluate policies and procedures to ensure that the quality of provision is the best it could possibly be.

Fun Club Staff

The Fun Club employs a Play Leader and an Assistant with additional bank staff as cover. The staff are qualified and experienced and have CRB clearance. All staff are required to undergo continual training to up date their skills and maintain the high quality of care required by the National Care Standards, these include Child Protection, First Aid and Food Hygiene. We ensure a staff ratio of at least one member of staff to eight children attending the club.
